Dear
friends,
on behalf of the Executive Committee of the International
Society of Gynecological Endocrinology it is my pleasure
to invite you to join the 8th World Congress of Gynecological Endocrinology
to be held in Florence, the cradle of Renaissance.
Gynecological Endocrinology is the common discipline
which links the various aspects of female life. From fetal life
to ageing, the endocrine processes control and are responsible for
the development and homeostasis of all organs. The latest advances
in technology and research applied to reproductive endocrinology
offer new therapies for the prevention of diseases, so mantaining
both physical and mental health. From the onset of puberty to old
age we now know how to protect and help the female body and mind.
On this basis the 8th World Congress of the International Society of Gynecological
Endocrinology will discuss in Plenary Sessions, Symposia,
Round Tables, Free Communications and Poster Sessions, the latest
advances in physiopathological mechanisms, clinical aspects and
therapeutical strategies devoted to preserve and maintain female
health.
The Congress will be held from the 6th to 9th of December in the year
2000. As well as its museums and the Uffizi’s gallery, from
Ponte Vecchio to Via Tornabuoni, Florence will appear in an explosion
of colours and lights…in all its magnificence.
I hope to welcome you all in Florence and together celebrate the end
of the Jubilee Year and the first Christmas of the new Millennium. |
